About the role
- Provide end-to-end Finance support to Global/US Project Teams and other team members for Oncology, Neurology, and Medical Center of Excellences portfolios.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes (rolling forecast, C1, C2, Budget and Long-Range Plan).
- Communicate and distribute financial forecasts; coordinate with Controlling Operations on financial targets and validate submission data.
- Support month-end close: identify study/tactic risks and opportunities, partner with Controlling Operations CoE on reporting and analytics, perform/oversee accounting activities.
- Manage day-to-day medical operations expenses, review and approve purchase orders and outsourced services per governance.
- Coordinate clinical trial forecast consolidation and reconciliation; generate reports for Global Head and senior finance leadership.
- Monitor and perform financial admin duties for OneCASA for SPC Medical Affairs; train new users and coordinate monthly accruals.
- Liaise between Regional FinOps and Global Medical FBPs on major clinical study accrual deviations.
- Lead projects for OneCASA enhancements and support Medical Finance transformation initiatives (Med Hub, reporting, transition to Controlling Ops CoE).
- Serve as Sanofi Medical Finance representative for partnerships, collaborations, and alliances in supported areas.
Requirements
- BS in Accounting/Finance required; CPA or MBA a plus.
- 5+ years Professional experience with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and month end close.
- Knowledge/experience in medical affairs and/or clinical trials preferred.
- Proven experience in team coordination / crisp communication on key topics / business partnering and consultation.
- Strategic thinking.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power-Point is critical.
- Strong accounting skills; Internal controls preferred.
- Experience with Plai, TM1 Cognos, CASA and SAP preferred.
- Ability to support Clinical Trials Consolidation/Financial Reporting and OneCASA Finance Admin.
