About the role

  • Support of a diverse caseload, including development of action plans and communication of issues, status, case developments and litigation risks.
  • Caseload will include primarily Talc/Asbestos as well as some product liability and general commercial litigation, environmental, bankruptcy and providing assistance to other in-house-counsel on other matters, as needed.
  • Supervise the collection and production of documents, preserving all privileges.
  • Effectively manage outside counsel spend.
  • Analyze complex situations, develop and communicate strategies and carry them out.

Requirements

  • Excellent academic credentials, including a BA/BS and Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience.
  • Licensed to practice law in a US state, and either in good standing in New Jersey or able to obtain a NJ limited license for in-house counsel.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and other corporate standard software - required.
  • Experience for a pharma/biotech company, FDA or other relevant governmental agency, or for a law firm working on healthcare-related matters.
