About the role
- Develop the training and development function for the Business Unit, including training on disease, product, and customer interaction capabilities.
- Responsible for the execution and deployment of training experiences.
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive strategic and tactical plans to support the objectives of the Sales, Marketing, and Patient Educational Services teams.
- Assist in the definition and development of core competencies and create tools, curriculum, and initiatives to support them.
- Responsible for the development of classroom training programs, including customer interaction capabilities and disease and product education.
- Manage the Product Review Board process for all sales training materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Develop field-based training programs, including mentorships and coaching.
- Establish and implement key metrics to track and communicate the impact of sales training initiatives.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree required, preferably in life science or business.
- MBA a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, including:
- At least 2 years of leading national, home-office-based training.
- Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biologics, with a background in infusion products, specialty pharmacy, and buy-and-bill.
- Proven communication skills with a well-developed ability to efficiently and productively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and interact effectively with a senior leadership team and multiple key stakeholders across sales and marketing.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management, including effective management of multiple projects/priorities.
- Ensure that all training programs are consistent with and support the company's legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines.
- 25-35% national travel required.
