About the role
- Assists with financial reporting for assigned areas.
- Works with appropriate personnel to ensure accurate presentation of financial data.
- Collaborates with department managers and Director of Fiscal Services to resolve issues with monthly budgets, expenditures, and variances.
- Assists in the budget and audit processes as needed.
- Prepares statistical reports as needed.
- Accommodates appropriate requests for financial data.
- Maintains financial records and documentation.
- Coordinates accounts payable processing with department managers, including coding invoices, analyzing monthly accruals, sending accounts payable data to corporate.
- Submits journal entries to corporate accounting.
- Runs financial reports, compiles and analyzes data, creates statistical reports and non-standard financial reports, and conducts cost reporting.
- Assists with local Sanford affiliates' financial reporting.
- Duties may also include receiving and verifying department charge batches, long-term care billing, long-term care cost reporting, and performing tasks to maintain employee timekeeping records.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred, in accounting or related business field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards required.
- Previous accounting experience and an understanding of healthcare preferred.
