About the role

  • Overall responsibility for group accounting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting
  • Responsibility for managing and preparing the parent company’s annual financial statements and interim financial statements under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
  • Support and technical oversight of the annual audits of group entities under HGB and IFRS
  • Analysis of complex accounting and valuation issues and management of the consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations
  • Point of contact for auditors, advisors, regulators and subsidiaries on accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Leading finance projects, in particular the implementation of new IFRS processes
  • Further development and implementation of group-wide accounting standards and processes and of the software used, with a focus on automation and digitalization
  • Close cooperation with Controlling, Tax, Treasury, IT and local finance teams as well as the Chief Sustainability Officer regarding ESG reporting
  • Support for M&A transactions, post-merger integration and structural projects
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS/HGB) and internal group policies

Requirements

  • Completed degree in economics or business administration (focus on accounting, controlling, auditing) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in group consolidation and external reporting under HGB and IFRS, ideally with leadership experience
  • Reporting expertise demonstrated by experience preparing IFRS consolidated notes and German management reports (Lagebericht)
  • Solid knowledge of HGB and IFRS
  • Experience designing or optimizing consolidation processes and reporting packages
  • SAP FI/CO skills
  • Structured, solution-oriented working style and strong self‑initiative
