About the role
- Responsible for building and scaling backend services, APIs, and AI integrations within a microservices architecture.
- Works across Node.js (core services) and Python (AI/inference) to deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Node.js (TypeScript) and Python.
- Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrations across frontend and AI/inference layers.
- Work with a polyglot data stack including Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, and object storage.
- Collaborate on containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines to support deployment workflows.
- Ensure backend systems are scalable, performant, and secure.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and client stakeholders, clearly communicating requirements, progress, and constraints.
- Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and technical recommendations to ensure smooth delivery.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with Python for APIs and AI/inference services (preferred)
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles
- Experience with CI/CD processes and modern deployment workflows
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to confidently communicate technical concepts, requirements, and opinions to both internal teams and client stakeholders
