About the role

  • Build products and systems that support scalable growth, from lead conversion tooling to experimentation platforms
  • Leverage data to understand customers and funnel, identify opportunities, and execute projects to drive revenue, customer growth, retention, and engagement
  • Build customer-facing self-serve products from the ground up using custom frontends, Cloud applications, backend services, and scripts
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales operations and product teams to implement growth initiatives
  • Drive engineering discussions and write thoughtful documentation and unit tests
  • Work across the entire stack — architect, deploy, and test code using Python backends, JavaScript (Vue) frontends, and AWS infrastructure
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles across teams

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working in a full stack, API engineering or application services role
  • Strong Experience with Python and/or Javascript (Vue)
  • Knowledgeable about modern web technologies, testing frameworks, and cloud computing
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to partner with different parts of the organization to identify and solve major business problems
  • Desire to learn about our business and apply that business acumen to our applications
  • B.S., M.S. degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related technical experience
  • 2+ years of experience on a Growth team (preferred)
  • Experience using Vue in production web applications (preferred)
  • Experience using AWS services: Elastic Beanstalk, Amplify, Lambda, CloudFront, Kinesis, EventBridge (preferred)
  • Experience developing Google Chrome Extensions (preferred)
  • Knowledge of tools: Turborepo, Terraform, Playwright or similar (preferred)
  • Knowledge of services: Salesforce, Contentful, Hightouch or similar (preferred)
  • Must reside in the United States (remote) — open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area
