About the role

Manage a team of full-stack engineers to deliver customer-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment using JavaScript, Vue, Python, GraphQL, and AWS services
Support the growth of individual engineers through mentoring/coaching and career-pathing
Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical strategy and perform code reviews
Set quarterly goals and balance product/engineering priorities for maximum impact
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to develop new products and enhance existing ones
Drive roadmapping discussions and influence initiative direction across the organization
Drive experiments, MVPs, and product launches to accelerate the self-serve growth engine
Be hands-on and contribute to feature development and set a high standard for component reliability
Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles and hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team

8+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including 1+ years of direct people management leading a full-stack product development team
Understands the value of team culture, communication, and collaboration
Experience developing individual contributors through mentoring/coaching and career-pathing
Is a technology business partner and builds relationships across teams
Demonstrated expertise in at least one layer of the technical stack (JavaScript, Python)
Experience with JavaScript, Vue, Python, GraphQL, and various AWS services
Experience building, delivering, and managing large-scale customer-facing products (preferred)
Experience working on Growth Engineering teams and/or solving business growth problems (preferred)
Interest in understanding users and improving day-to-day processes
Must reside in the United States (this is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US)
