About the role

  • Own and evolve the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Samsara’s Connected Device Experience—including installation, health, upgrades, and contextual representation across our UI.
  • Define and scale elegant, reusable UX and API frameworks for device setup and management.
  • Drive key architectural decisions with Engineering and Design to ensure high performance, maintainability, and cross-product cohesion.
  • Champion end-to-end user journeys, grounding roadmap priorities in customer pain points, technical insight, and research.
  • Accelerate Samsara-wide development velocity by building foundational primitives and surfacing reusable components.
  • Partner with Design to raise the bar on craftsmanship and interaction quality across our surfaces.
  • Mentor PMs and cross-functional teammates; elevate product execution and decision-making across the org.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in product management or related roles.
  • Experience owning complex, cross-surface product areas in high-growth or high-expectation environments.
  • Exceptional product judgment and design sensibility; you have a portfolio of work that showcases UX excellence.
  • Strong technical fluency—you can engage deeply with engineers on architecture decisions and trade-offs.
  • Experience owning features that include both physical and digital elements.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments and drive alignment across senior leaders.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator who can effectively collaborate with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or design-related field.
