About the role

Lead and manage the Platform Reports team responsible for the core reporting and dashboard platform
Build and own end-to-end report lifecycle—from fetching and transforming data to visualizing it
Empower customers with insights by enabling custom reports and dashboards
Act as a critical accelerator for product teams by providing a unified integration point for reportable data
Drive technical strategy and collaborate with senior engineers and senior leadership on long-term roadmap
Set quarterly goals, balance product and engineering priorities, and drive planning and execution of roadmap
Deliver features and infrastructure enhancements with a high-standard for reliability
Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles and hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team
Work with technologies including Golang backend, Typescript/React frontend, GraphQL, and React Native (direct experience not required)

Experience building scalable, mission-critical SaaS applications
Experience operating, maintaining, and improving upon large scale application services
Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment
Strong track record of delivering products and features that customers love
Proven record of attracting top-talent and coaching the team
8+ years of relevant software engineering work experience
3+ years of hands-on technical management experience
You speak English proficiently
