About the role
- Lead and provide disciplinary management for the Order Processing Group, currently consisting of 15 employees
- Ensure professional and on-time processing and execution of orders from the disciplines of design/engineering, electrical documentation, 3D layout planning and geographic information systems (GIS)
- Prioritize orders, carry out personnel deployment planning, and monitor work results and quality
- Conduct coordination meetings and capture scopes of service and deliveries with clients and/or external service providers
- Further develop processes and governance
- Administer and further develop the system landscape at TPPI
- Select and evaluate suitable external service providers, review and assess proposals, develop and maintain specifications and bills of quantities/service descriptions, and initiate procurement processes
- Manage, monitor and control contracted services
Requirements
- Completed technical degree, ideally in mechanical engineering
- Very good skills in operating and administering 2D and 3D CAD systems
- Several years of professional experience as a design, project or operations engineer in a comparable industry; extensive knowledge of steelworks is an advantage
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, a pronounced sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently, proactively and reliably
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and a high degree of empathy
- Good English skills and confident use of MS Office
