About the role

  • Capturing and maintaining the current IT architecture across the Group, covering infrastructure, platforms and the application landscape
  • Analyzing and identifying improvement opportunities in the existing IT landscape and developing a target architecture
  • Identifying consolidation potentials and translating them into concrete initiatives
  • Providing technical leadership for the Architecture Board composed of representatives from the business units and Salzgitter Digital Solutions GmbH
  • Establishing and further developing the architecture management process within the Group
  • Evaluating solution concepts and technologies and advising the Executive Board on technological and architectural matters
  • Evaluating new technologies and trends and integrating them into the existing architecture
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring architecture standards, guidelines and procedures

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in architecture management, IT strategy and IT governance
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in technologies and platforms as well as system and application landscapes
  • Ability to translate business requirements from business units into IT solutions and architectures
  • Knowledge of architecture management and IT governance frameworks
  • Practical experience with architecture management tools is an advantage
  • Analytical and structured working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
