About the role

  • Central organization and coordination of all internal and external information and material flows for the plant
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of assigned employees
  • Monitoring and optimization of working capital and lead times
  • Verification of the conversion of customer orders into production orders
  • Ensuring capacity planning in alignment with forecasts and corporate planning together with the plant on a monthly and annual basis, as well as for the budget planning period
  • Preparation of order analyses, post-calculations, production cost and variance analyses
  • Handling personal, departmental and plant-level objectives and action plans
  • Development and implementation of strategies and projects to optimize production planning processes
  • Monitoring the development of investment projects related to production planning
  • Communication with plant management, sales, central planning and plant departments regarding developments and projects in production planning
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with quality, occupational health & safety and environmental protection guidelines in accordance with the management system
  • Adherence to IT security policies and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)
  • Promoting cooperation with the works council
  • Supporting and promoting the employee suggestion scheme

Requirements

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field, with several years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the metal-processing industry
  • Very good knowledge of Office 365 and SAP
  • Very good written and spoken English
