Collaborate closely with Product Management and Design to define requirements, scope, and delivery timelines for SaaS features and platform improvements
Manage day-to-day operations of one or more software engineering teams, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
Drive agile processes —including retrospectives and sprint planning—to maintain team velocity and focus
Establish clear goals, KPIs, and development metrics to measure progress and team impact
Partner with Customer Success and Support to triage and prioritize production issues and client feedback
Promote cross-functional communication and ensure engineering alignment with company priorities
Mentor, coach, and develop engineers at varying levels of experience to foster growth and autonomy
Collaborate with senior engineering leadership on architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy
Contribute to hiring efforts and help onboard new team members effectively
Maintain high standards of code quality, scalability, and performance and participate in technical reviews where appropriate
Encourage a culture of ownership, experimentation, and accountability across the team
Requirements
5+ years of experience actively managing software engineering teams
Led multiple engineering teams with proven success in delivery and execution
Proven track record of leading teams in SaaS startup environments, from early-stage growth through scaling
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and modern web service design
Experience driving cross-functional collaboration between Product, Design, QA, and DevOps
History of delivering features that drive measurable business outcomes (e.g., user retention, performance improvements, reliability)
