About the role

  • Introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, F&B managers and persuade them to start placing orders through the platform
  • Own a portfolio of restaurant and other HoReCa accounts — your responsibility is to grow them, not just maintain them
  • Visit clients regularly: walk the kitchen, understand their challenges, and identify where Saltz can add more value
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by asking the right questions and listening carefully
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders — chefs, GMs, procurement teams — so they see you as a trusted advisor
  • Work closely with internal teams to turn client feedback into actionable product and service improvements
  • Drive growth by keeping as many accounts as possible actively ordering
  • Represent Saltz at industry events, trade visits, and in-person meetings where your HoReCa credibility opens doors

Requirements

  • Experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients — backgrounds in distribution, wholesale, or food supply are exactly what we’re looking for
  • Strong understanding of food pricing, margins, and how chefs make purchasing decisions — chefs shouldn’t be able to confuse you on specs or costs
  • Proven track record of growing existing accounts, not just closing new business
  • Comfortable managing multiple demanding relationships simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Language skills: fluent German (C1) and proficient English
