About the role
- Supervise a team of 3-5 staff accountants that are responsible for revenue, cash, accrued expenses, prepaids, receivables and other general accounting categories.
- Review journal entries and ensure the team is completing timely and accurately
- Supervise the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring that variances are investigated and resolved on schedule.
- Perform trend analysis on the Trial Balance to identify anomalies, coding errors, or missing expenses before final reports are issued.
- Ensure all accounting operations comply with legal regulations, internal policies, and GAAP standards.
- Assist with periodic audit requests
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in financial reporting and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
