About the role

  • Advise students in the Honors Program on course planning, graduation requirements, and alignment of coursework with personal and professional goals.
  • Coordinate the Honors capstone research project process, including tracking proposals, monitoring progress, and communicating with students and faculty mentors.
  • Assist in the administration of Honors curricular processes, including uploading and maintaining records in online systems and coordinating with campus offices.
  • Provide administrative oversight for Honors independent study courses and academic contracts.
  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and programming for Honors students focused on professional development, graduate preparation, and inclusive excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Director to prepare the Honors Program annual assessment report.
  • Maintain and update student academic records related to Honors Program requirements.
  • Supervise and train student workers or work-study employees assigned to the Honors Program.
  • Collaborate with the Honors Program Director to review and refine program policies, procedures, and student support strategies.
  • Assist with Honors Program events and engagement initiatives involving students, faculty, and community partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in higher education or a related academic support environment
  • Experience supporting undergraduate students in achieving academic and professional goals
  • Experience working with data and preparing reports or spreadsheets for program assessment
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education environments
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual communication technologies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive student information.
