About the role

  • Develop data pipelines to capture granular usage and cost of infra services and applications and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance while working with different data sources.
  • Proactively identify performance & data quality problems and drive the team to remediate them.
  • Advocate architectural and code improvements to the team to improve execution speed and reliability.
  • Partner closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand requirements, translate business problems into technical solutions, and drive data strategy.
  • Work closely with engineering, various business teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards.
  • Work with multiple data sources (SQL databases, spreadsheets, cloud platforms, APIs) to create blended datasets and establish relationships.
  • Analyze current IT infrastructure usage (compute, storage, network, cloud resources) and forecast future demand.
  • Partner with finance, product, service and procurement teams to forecast infrastructure, licensing costs and prepare budget estimates and track the actuals cost vs the budget.
  • Develop models to track resource utilization, cost trends and forecast monthly, quarterly, yearly capacity & cost to support business strategy and growth.
  • Evaluate cost implications of capacity requirements and optimize resource usage to minimize the cost and improve cost to serve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or data engineering roles
  • 4+ years of experience building programmatic ETL data pipelines using SQL-based technologies and platforms such as Spark, Hadoop, or Tableau Prep Builder
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience automating data pipelines with scheduling tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)
  • Expertise in creating impactful data visualizations using Tableau, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, accessible manner
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server (publishing, scheduling, permissions, automation)
  • Expertise in advanced Tableau capabilities: LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters, sets, and groups
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources (SQL, spreadsheets, APIs, cloud platforms) and build blended datasets
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends, issues from larger datasets and derive actionable insights and reports
  • Solid SQL skills for data retrieval, analysis, and validation from Relational and NOSQL databases
  • Experience in capacity planning for dynamic, large-scale growth of services, LLM models in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience budget planning and tracking for complex, large-scale platform services in collaboration with multiple teams
  • Experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience in capacity planning, financial or operational forecasting in large scale cloud infrastructures.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills in infra capacity and budget planning.
