About the role
- Define and drive the long-term User Experience strategy for Integration and AI.
- Partner with GMs and EVPs to shape product roadmaps and investment decisions.
- Leverage a robust understanding of user needs, product strategy, and market trends to bring forward user-centric innovation opportunities.
- Collaborate with the most seasoned design, engineering, and product partners - including our GM - to drive vision and strategy via design.
- Develop robust and innovative practices, frameworks, principles, and processes that scale your impact across the Salesforce ecosystem and elevate the impact of other designers and teams.
- Elevate the craft of the design organization. Mentor and coach a talented team of designers while advocating for user-centered, inclusive design practices. Attract and assess top talent.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading in an individual contributor role on a product design team.
- Exceptional Portfolio that demonstrates a foundation in applied design skills and idea generation in a complex enterprise setting.
- Familiarity with Developer Tools and Practices: Proven ability to design for technical personas (Developers, DevOps, Architects).
- Familiarity with modern IDEs, Agentic development tools, API management, or cloud infrastructure tools is desirable.
- Architectural Thinking: Demonstrated ability to break down complex ecosystems and communicate them in an understandable manner.
- Impact in Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to thrive in the most ambiguous of situations by creating clarity and alignment and seeing and seizing new opportunities.
- AI/LLM Fluency: Foundational understanding of the concepts behind Generative and Agentic AI and the ability to leverage it in your daily work for increased efficacy and efficiency.
- Raising the Bar: A strong track record of mentoring and guiding designers and design teams to larger impact.
- Mastery of Influence: Excellent storytelling skills. You can command a room of engineers and executives, using design artifacts to build consensus and drive strategic decisions.
