💰 $90,000 - $125,000 per year

About the role

  • Develop electrical system designs in accordance with project scope, client requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards
  • Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration services for power distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, and other low voltage systems
  • Perform existing building surveys and document current electrical and fire alarm conditions
  • Prepare, edit, and coordinate electrical specifications and construction documents
  • Author engineering reports, assessment reports, and Basis of Design (BOD) documents
  • Coordinate closely with internal project teams, architects, and other engineering disciplines
  • Participate in and lead technical discussions, design coordination meetings, and client presentations
  • Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination as needed
  • Assist Project Managers with technical input, schedule coordination, and project execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience
  • Experience with healthcare, science and technology, education, and/or commercial buildings
  • Knowledge of and experience with HCAI / OSHPD standards is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience preferred
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering calculations
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Excellent work ethic with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
