About the role

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner and trusted advisor to business leaders, offering guidance on people-related matters.
  • Identify HR opportunities and challenges, providing proactive and creative solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Support the implementation of HR strategies that align with short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture by driving team member engagement, accountability, and innovation.
  • Provide expertise on HR-related issues, including employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
  • Work closely with HR teams across locations to share best practices and streamline processes.
  • Create a seamless onboarding experience, ensuring new team members are supported from day one.
  • Champion continuous learning and professional development for team members.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for local team members, addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Implement HR programs to enhance team member experience.
  • Partner with the recruiting team to attract top talent and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Promote a culture of continuous feedback between Generalists and team members.
  • Lead workforce planning discussions, incorporating succession planning and leadership development needs.
  • Ensure accurate payroll data and maintain HR system integrity.
  • Provide guidance on federal, state, and local employment laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Support Generalists with employee relations and performance management, including performance improvement plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a matrixed environment.
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and proactive approach to HR.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, talent management, and compliance.
  • HR experience in the Engineering industry is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources or related field.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and navigate competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
