About the role
- Gather, assemble, tabulate, check and file financial data
- Maintain financial records and ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end close, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial statements
- Participate in month-end close activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and review of budget-to-actual reports
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolution to reconciling items
- Assist General Manager in weekly forecast updates
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (accounting coursework preferred)
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and related products
- Knowledge of accounting policy and procedures and POS Systems is required
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong technical writing skills
