About the role
- Partners with senior leaders across all corporate functions to provide strategic advice.
- Provides expert recommendations, counsel, and coaching on employee-related issues.
- Anticipates labor/employee relations issues and provides counsel to resolve them.
- Plays a critical role in building organizational bench strength through strategic identification and development of talent.
- Acts as a strategic advisor to executive and senior leadership teams.
- Leads workforce planning and succession planning efforts.
- Drives large-scale change initiatives, including restructures and cultural transformation.
- Ensures compliance with employment laws and mitigates organizational risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University or equivalent education and work experience required.
- Minimum of 7 years’ human resources experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience in a union work environment preferred, but not required.
- Experience managing and developing a team of HR direct reports.
