About the role

  • Planning and commissioning of IT infrastructures
  • Administration and monitoring of Windows servers, virtual machines and AI systems
  • Expansion and planning of network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN)
  • Maintenance, safeguarding and recovery of data using backup servers & tape library
  • Maintenance, installation and updating of hardware and software
  • Documentation as well as 1st- and 2nd-level support
  • Assistance with troubleshooting and handling service requests for IT hardware

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of administering Windows and Linux servers as well as networking
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox)
  • Experience with backup software (e.g., Veeam, Acronis)
  • Initial experience with AI systems (local and cloud-based) is desirable
  • Reliable, meticulous working style, with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn new topics, work independently and pursue continuous professional development
  • Willingness to travel across Germany to various nuclear power plants and possession of a Class B driving licence
