About the role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with PRI's mission, vision, and growth objectives
- Identify and evaluate potential markets, industries, and partnerships to expand PRI’s reach, and execute strategies to capture new business opportunities
- Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients and partners, and build new relationships to foster long-term partnerships
- Drive revenue through the development of innovative programs, services, and partnerships, while ensuring they meet customer needs and align with industry standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
- Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Operations, Marketing, and Product Development, to ensure alignment in business objectives and support company initiatives
- Enhance PRI’s brand by representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings, while promoting PRI's commitment to quality and excellence
- Oversee business development budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance, ensuring projects are cost-effective and align with financial goals
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress towards goals, and key performance indicators to executive leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required
- 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies in complex industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, manufacturing)
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate ideas into actionable initiatives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Experience with budget management, financial planning, and achieving revenue goals
- Familiarity with industry standards and quality frameworks, preferably with experience in accreditation or certification organizations
- A Master’s degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
