About the role
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership and oversight of the EP Program, ensuring alignment with SUI’s academic mission and outcomes.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate program goals, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable institutional policies, state regulations, and programmatic accreditation standards.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain all required accreditation reports, self‑studies, and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for accrediting agencies, regulatory bodies, and clinical partners.
- Oversee development, implementation, and revision of the EP curriculum to ensure it reflects current industry standards and scope of practice.
- Ensure effective integration of didactic, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences.
- Monitor course delivery to ensure learning outcomes and competencies are met.
- Participate in instruction as appropriate, consistent with qualifications and accreditation requirements.
- Recruit, orient, mentor, and evaluate program faculty and instructional staff.
- Ensure faculty credentials and ongoing professional development meet accreditation and institutional standards.
- Foster collaboration and consistent communication among faculty, lab, and clinical instructors.
- Establish, maintain, and evaluate clinical affiliation agreements to ensure adequate, high‑quality clinical placement opportunities.
- Ensure appropriate student supervision, evaluation, and documentation during clinical rotations.
- Address clinical site feedback and implement program improvements as needed.
- Monitor student clinical competencies and progression.
- Monitor student academic progress, clinical performance, and professional behavior.
- Address student concerns, performance issues, and remediation plans when necessary.
- Participate in admissions, orientation, advising, and retention initiatives as assigned.
- Ensure accurate documentation of student records, competencies, and program completion requirements.
- Lead and participate in EP Program Advisory Committee meetings.
- Engage industry and clinical partners to ensure program relevance, workforce alignment, and continuous improvement.
- Use advisory and employer feedback to support curriculum and program enhancements.
Requirements
- Current professional registration/certification in electrophysiology or a related cardiovascular specialty aligned with teaching responsibilities.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Documented experience in electrophysiology clinical practice.
- Prior teaching, leadership, or educational administration experience in a healthcare or allied health setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards and clinical education requirements.
