About the role
- Manage and support RFP, RFQ, and ITN responses from kickoff through submission
- Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives and supporting materials
- Coordinate internal contributors and subject-matter experts to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met
- Maintain proposal templates, boilerplate language, case studies, and credentials
- Track proposal submissions, outcomes, and follow-up activity
- Prepare informal pitches and tailored materials for prospective clients
- Support inbound and outbound lead generation aligned with firm growth priorities
- Conduct prospect, sector, and market research to identify new business opportunities
- Manage and maintain CRM data, dashboards, and reporting
- Support email marketing, content distribution, and campaign execution tied to business development goals
- Help conceptualize and execute campaigns to increase lead generation and awareness
- Draft and manage award submissions and recognition entries
- Develop case studies, credentials, and partner and senior staff bios
- Support firm marketing initiatives tied to major wins, milestones, conferences, and speaking opportunities
- Contribute written content for the firm’s website, newsletters, blogs, and social media
- Collaborate with internal teams on website updates, branded materials, and digital content
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
- Maintain internal trackers, calendars, and reporting tools
- Oversee quality control for all business development and firm promotion materials
- Ensure consistency with Sachs Media’s brand, voice, and quality standards
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in business development, marketing, communications, or a related role, preferably in an agency or professional services environment
- Proven experience supporting or managing proposal development in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership
- Comfort managing competing priorities and shifting deadlines
- Strong creative instincts and sound business judgment
- Experience in a strategic communications, public relations, or professional services firm
- Experience with awards programs, thought leadership, or firm marketing initiatives
- Proficiency with CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Apptivo or similar), email marketing platforms, and LinkedIn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and presentation tools
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
- Experience analyzing performance data from digital, social, or web analytics platforms
