About the role
- Provide support to the Director of Legal Affairs and Contract Management on contract management matters
- Provide advisory services to internal clients
- Act as a contract management advisor to internal clients
- Prepare, draft and review tender/procurement documents
- Contribute to the development and design of corporate and accountability/reporting documents
- Respond to various claims and formal notices
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent and a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
- Between three and five years of relevant experience in contract law within a ministry, public agency or municipality and/or in commercial law in private practice and/or within an organization's legal department
- Knowledge of the legal framework applicable to contracts of public bodies and information technology (notably the Act Respecting the Contracts of Public Bodies and related regulations and directives)
- Excellent drafting skills (excellent command of written and spoken French)
- Strong ability to communicate clearly, simply and effectively, and good analytical and synthesis skills
- Adaptability to change and flexibility
