About the role

  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO and other senior leaders, supporting the overall effectiveness and organization of the Office of the CEO both internally and externally
  • Own key deliverables to the CEO and Chief of Staff and deliver excellence in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Combine strategy, analysis and project management skills and play an active role focused on strategic execution at the highest levels
  • Handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities, balancing longer term projects with urgent immediate demands
  • Operate under the highest levels of confidentiality and quickly assimilate information, condensing key themes and constructing action plans
  • Enhance the CEO’s ability to provide direction-setting, problem identification and solving, decision alignment, speed and transparent communication
  • Develop strong working relationships with OCEO team and other key internal stakeholders; take ownership of various OCEO activities and produce high quality deliverables
  • Gather information and synthesize views; surface, connect and translate "the dots"; develop CEO board reports and updates
  • Support effective flow of information and decisions for the Chief of Staff and CEO; lead cross-functional strategic travel and stakeholder/outreach planning
  • Manage and track CEO stakeholder engagement and follow-up; partner with executive assistants on calendar optimization
  • Support executive events (such as Board meetings) & strategic offsites; contribute to creating new OCEO efficiencies and capabilities
  • Lead & execute select key initiatives or projects; monitor and maintain an inventory of critical path projects relevant to the OCEO
  • Determine proper course of action, ensure issues are addressed efficiently and keep track of progress until complete
  • Collaborate on CEO communications, own CEO weekly briefings and weekend packs, and prepare high quality briefing packets for meetings and events
  • Partner with communications, strategy, legal, IR, people, finance, and division teams; support monitoring internal data related to organizational performance (P&L, KPI reporting etc.) and external market insights
  • Analyze statistics, research data, KPIs and company/country data on an ad-hoc basis
  • Develop and implement AI and automation solutions to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Execute additional responsibilities as directed by the Chief of Staff

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in financial services, professional services, or related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of S&P Global’s businesses, products and services
  • Significant experience interacting with senior leaders
  • Broad range of experience with analysis tools and frameworks
  • Experience developing and implementing AI / automation solutions to increase productivity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling with data in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities, simultaneously addressing the urgency of immediate demands with long-term projects
  • Experience managing demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and at times, working with limited resources and ambiguity
  • Proven ability to navigate effectively and efficiently within a large matrixed organization
  • Very high standards of quality, accuracy and timeliness
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Preferred: Effective collaboration across stakeholders, functions, and division
  • Preferred: Ensures quality of processes and outputs
  • Preferred: Very strong communication and facilitation together with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across the organization to drive business results without ego
  • Preferred: Ability to represent the role and the Office of the CEO with a style that is aligned with the CEO; maturity to work with confidence, urgency, diplomacy, humility; requires a high degree of confidentiality across all levels
  • Preferred: Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion and unquestioned ethics
  • Preferred: Ability to demonstrate resilience and a strong EQ to engage diplomatically, constructively, and collaboratively with stakeholders
