About the role
- Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, Marketplace, you will play a key role in the continued improvement of the Marketplace product suite.
- Work alongside S&P Global Technology, Commercial, Content and Operations teams to define executable business requirements that are aligned with client needs as well as the broader S&P Global strategy and goals.
- Serve as a Product Manager on the Marketplace Platforms team, consistently delivering and innovating to deliver value to our clients.
- Collaborate and execute on product specifications to develop high profile, high impact deliverables for our product suite.
- Understand detailed business requirements and transform them into actionable user stories.
- Collaborate with Product and Commercial teams to understand client-centric workflows to create new content and functionality that drives meaningful engagement across Marketplace.
- Conduct research and perform analysis, both internally and externally, to recommend product enhancements and improve consistency across the Marketplace platform.
- Wear multiple hats to support several Marketplace platform offerings including the Support Center, Generative AI search experience, Extract, Query Library, Content Management System, SSO and entitlement tools.
- Assist in go-to-market activities for product rollout/launch, including conducting commercial training sessions on an as-needed basis.
- Champion Marketplace Platforms both internally and externally.
- Stay informed on Data-as-a-Service and AI trends, and their impact on user workflows.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and written communication skills to clearly explain and document business requirements, interact with internal business groups, technology teams, and external clients.
- Uses conceptual and innovative thinking with guidance from senior colleagues to solve complex business challenges.
- Ability to understand broad implications and balance against short-term goals when designing/planning solutions.
- Proactive with desire to move projects forward that involve multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, including comfort defining and interpreting metrics, and identifying tradeoffs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience partnering closely with Product, Technology, Design, and Marketing to deliver cross-functional initiatives.
- 3+ years in Product Management, Business Analysis, QA, or a related role.
- Basic knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with marketplace platforms, datasets, data schemas and web-development teams (preferred).
- Experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, Databricks, APIs a plus (preferred).
- Experience in UX design using tools such as Figma (preferred).
- Experience applying user research methods (e.g. interviews, surveys) and translating insights into solution designs (preferred).
