About the role

  • Coordinate coverage and scheduling for the North America team, ensuring SLAs and performance goals are consistently met in accordance with regional expectations and business requirements
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members to support their career growth and development
  • Support comprehensive employee life cycle events across Canada and the US, including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding, ensuring full compliance with company policies and country-specific regulations
  • Enhance the overall People Experience by driving satisfaction through expert guidance and timely resolution of cases, claims, and queries within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies, support initiatives and change management projects while developing knowledge library articles to support HR policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular reviews of processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, while monitoring and evaluating third-party systems and relationships
  • Collaborate with Payroll Services, Benefits, Regional People Advisors, People Relations and other regional stakeholders to resolve complex issues and support business needs
  • Process and approve data requests in HR systems (Workday, ServiceNow, Equifax) while maintaining records in compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws
  • Develop and maintain articles in the Knowledge library to support understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures for the North America population and the People Services team
  • Support the People function with additional activities and projects aligned with strategic objectives

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience in providing HR support for a global organization or across North America
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in North America with demonstrated compliance expertise
  • Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, or similar HRIS platforms
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and provide meaningful recommendations through storytelling
  • Proven ability to apply discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to learn and adopt new tools and technologies in a rapidly developing HR landscape.
