About the role

  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Partner with People Partners and Employment Counsel to assess risk, ensure consistent practices, and guide sensitive employee matters.
  • Mediate and resolve employee disputes, providing guidance and support to both employees and management.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards.
  • Promote a culture of open communication by facilitating employee feedback sessions and engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions on conflict resolution, communication skills, and performance management for staff and management.
  • Work closely with HR team members to support talent management, performance reviews, and organizational development.
  • Prepare reports on employee relations trends and issues, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations issues and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2+ years specializing in employee relations or workplace investigations in the US.
  • Strong investigative interviewing, analytical, and fact-finding skills.
  • Deep understanding of US employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including clear, defensible investigation reports and the ability to influence stakeholders and functions.
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
