About the role
- Work in an Agile environment and adhere to all QA best practices.
- Collaborate with Scrum team members, including engineering and product management, to deliver business functionality on time, with the required quality, and in line with acceptance criteria.
- Develop test cases and scenarios based on requirements and designs; manage defect tracking.
- Initiate, monitor, and control the execution of automated test suites, identifying issues and potential gaps.
- Support QA governance by overseeing test processes, data, and execution metrics to drive team performance improvements.
- Conduct risk analysis for features and projects within your scope of ownership, provide mitigation strategies, and escalate as appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.
- Validate data transformations and mappings according to business requirements.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to work with technology stakeholders at various levels, including global teams.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Practical experience with test automation using any automation framework.
- Experience in improving test coverage through automated testing processes.
- Experience in developing test automation tools is a plus.
- Strong background in testing web-based applications built on modern frameworks.
- Understanding of web technologies and the lifecycle of web applications from request to page rendering.
- Familiarity with performance, security, and other non-functional testing aspects.
- Experience working with APIs and web services, including REST services, and a good understanding of service-oriented and distributed systems.
- Experience in validating APIs and data access layers is a plus.
- Strong programming concepts with knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and coding skills.
- Ability to work with one or more high-level programming languages or technologies, and a solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in SQL databases and writing SQL queries.
- Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience using enterprise testing and development tools, version control systems, and manual/automated testing processes.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and microservices, as well as integration testing, is an advantage.
- Familiarity with testing in continuous integration/DevOps environments is preferred.
- Experience testing modern computing platforms and server tools, as well as familiarity with agent-based frameworks, is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a computer science-related field.
