About the role

  • The Tax Associate reports to the Team Leader and works closely with the other Tax Associates and Senior Associates.
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of tax returns, including ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely and accurately.
  • Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns including preparation of work papers; preparation of tax projections and related estimates; analyze client information; perform tax research.
  • Research tax issues and assist with tax audits
  • Assist with general administrative functions of the clients’ tax departments
  • Special projects, as necessary

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year experience in tax preparation (1-2 years of experience will do)
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal income tax
  • Must have excellent math and computer skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel; work experience using tax preparation software and applications preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with tax team and clients.
  • Conversation English Required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player and be willing to work over-time when necessary.
  • Ability to lead and foster positive working environment
  • Ability to multi-task job responsibilities
