About the role

  • Leads the delivery and strategic direction of tax technology initiatives
  • Oversees project scope, governance, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple engagements
  • Provides functional and technical leadership on complex tax technology projects
  • Ensures successful implementation of enterprise-level solutions, from requirements analysis to deployment
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to clients, strengthening relationships and partnerships
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to project teams
  • Supports business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in tax technology, including implementation of enterprise tax solutions (e.g., Vertex, Sabrix, Taxware)
  • Strong understanding of transaction tax processes and integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE)
  • Experience leading complex projects and managing client relationships
  • CPA and/or PMP certifications are a plus
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, etc.) preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience working with ERP systems and tax technology integrations preferred
