About the role
- New customer acquisition (approx. 70%)
- Structured management of an existing target-account list with clear segmentation and prioritization
- Active B2B acquisition through systematic cold calling and qualified first contact
- Identification of relevant decision-makers (engineering, maintenance, executive management, etc.)
- Development of tailored sales approaches for each customer segment
- Responsibility for the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signature
- Building reliable pipeline structures including forecasting
- Active participation in trade shows and targeted outreach to relevant prospects
- Field sales component approx. 20%
- Customer development & project development (approx. 30%)
- Development of selected key accounts with individualized project approaches
- Establishing a sustainable customer base in project business
- Positioning pilot projects as door openers
- Structured handover of completed projects to project management
- Active contribution to proposals, business cases and value propositions
- Consistent maintenance of the CRM system (Pipedrive)
- Active, data-driven pipeline management
- Regular reporting to sales management
- Systematic feedback loop of market insights to support the development of product, pricing and positioning
- Contributing to the structural build-out of the B2B sales function
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in technical B2B project sales
- Proven closed deals in complex, consultative environments (ideally IoT, infrastructure, SaaS or technical system sales)
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles
- Strong closing skills from initial contact through contract signature
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to confidently operate with an evolving product portfolio
- Structured, KPI-driven way of working
- Confident use of CRM systems
- Quick technical comprehension and a high willingness to learn
- Resilience and self-motivation in a startup environment
