About the role
- Work effectively with intermediary advisors to acquire, develop and retain assets for Russell Investments
- Build and maintain relationships with financial professionals within assigned territory
- Strong prospecting through a highly targeted outbound sales plan to identify and convert new producers
- Engage and develop relationships through in-person, phone, email, and virtual outreach
- New partner onboarding, education and training activities
- Consultative business and investment solutions activities which develop and further existing advisor relationships
- Investment proposal generation and communication, including Morningstar and proprietary tools
- Communication of Russell's capital markets knowledge and insight
- Use data to efficiently target advisors that fit our target market
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in investment management, finance, business or related field
- Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) licenses preferred; Series 6 and 63 will be considered
- 3-5 years client service and/or sales experience in an investment management or related business
- In-depth understanding of the financial industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, competitive information and client-service strategies
- Demonstrated consultative selling and relationship management experience
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and delegation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to be self-directed, self-managed, possesses proven decision-making skills and sound judgment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the ability to learn Russell-specific applications, and CRM experience is preferred
- Asset management industry and broker dealer specific knowledge is highly desired.
