About the role

  • Work effectively with intermediary advisors to acquire, develop and retain assets for Russell Investments
  • Build and maintain relationships with financial professionals within assigned territory
  • Strong prospecting through a highly targeted outbound sales plan to identify and convert new producers
  • Engage and develop relationships through in-person, phone, email, and virtual outreach
  • New partner onboarding, education and training activities
  • Consultative business and investment solutions activities which develop and further existing advisor relationships
  • Investment proposal generation and communication, including Morningstar and proprietary tools
  • Communication of Russell's capital markets knowledge and insight
  • Use data to efficiently target advisors that fit our target market

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in investment management, finance, business or related field
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) licenses preferred; Series 6 and 63 will be considered
  • 3-5 years client service and/or sales experience in an investment management or related business
  • In-depth understanding of the financial industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, competitive information and client-service strategies
  • Demonstrated consultative selling and relationship management experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and delegation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to be self-directed, self-managed, possesses proven decision-making skills and sound judgment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the ability to learn Russell-specific applications, and CRM experience is preferred
  • Asset management industry and broker dealer specific knowledge is highly desired.
