About the role
- Build Rula’s first iOS and Android apps as a Senior Mobile Engineer
- Work closely with a Staff Mobile Engineer, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful patient-facing features from day one
- Contribute to a brand-new codebase and help shape engineering practices as a founding engineer
- Implement AI-enabled experiences that enhance the human connection in therapy, ensuring clinically-grounded and responsible AI
- Combine deep coding with product impact to make mental health care more accessible on mobile
- Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in scaling the mobile team
Requirements
- 5+ years software engineering experience, including 2+ years professional mobile development
- 2+ years of experience with React Native
- Experience shipping production mobile features on iOS and/or Android
- Strong debugging, testing, and code quality discipline
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Familiarity with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) modules (preferred)
- Experience working on 0→1 mobile products (preferred)
- Contributions to shared mobile infra (CI/CD, component library, analytics) are a plus (preferred)
- Must be US-based / eligible to work in the United States; may require visa sponsorship information
