About the role

  • We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to build and lead a high-performing team responsible for launching and scaling Rula’s next generation of product verticals.
  • You’ll lead a talented group of backend, full-stack, and frontend engineers to design, build, and scale new user experiences end-to-end—turning product strategy into measurable business outcomes.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Design partners to ensure we deliver high-quality, scalable systems while maintaining speed and reliability.
  • As an engineering leader, you’ll set clear standards, foster accountability, and mentor engineers to do their best work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineers.
  • Proven track record of delivering production software at scale in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical foundation in web application architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and delivery velocity across multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially working cross-functionally with Product and Design.
  • 3+ years of experience in a hyper-growth SaaS company.
  • Experience building 0 → 1 product teams or launching new product lines, ideally with B2B integrations in health tech.
  • Experience leading teams that use AI-native development tools or workflows.
  • Experience working in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries.
  • Strong operational discipline, including use of metrics, retrospectives, and postmortems.
  • Prior experience hiring and developing high-performing engineers.
