About the role
- Drive monthly financial analysis within the forecasting/reporting process that identifies trends, risks, and upsides.
- Provide finance support to management, including but not limited to business case development, program performance, P&L projections, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Lead Sales, Repairs and Product Line teams to perform monthly forecast process.
- Assist Finance Controller with developing annual budget and long-range-planning process.
- Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and variance analysis for management.
- Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teammates to ensure alignment with finance and the business.
- Liaison with cross functional teams to act as central point of contact for FP&A questions from Collins Central and SBUs’ Finance.
- Prepare journal entries, calculate accruals, allocate expenses, and closely interact with other Finance team members during the month-end close process.
- Develop and distribute standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting.
- Support senior management level reviews as needed.
- Troubleshoot and provide best practices around financial systems.
- Create and iterate standardized processes, tools and templates to drive efficiencies and consistencies.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, and complex accounting systems.
- Degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience working for a Fortune 500 company or Aerospace and Defense industry is a plus.
- Experience with OneStream, Blackline/ARMs, Hyperion HFM and SAP.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI is a plus.
