Interpret, execute, establish and implement global trade policies and processes for Advanced Structures
Ensure consistency of customs practices and guidance to operations sites importing across the Advanced Structures Strategic Business Unit
Lead a team focused on all aspects of import and customs processes including U.S. and non-U.S. sites (EMEA and APAC)
Partner closely with business, the Central GT organization and brokers to drive the Customs program
Program management of customs initiatives across Advanced Structures global business locations
Implement customs processes and standard work and develop requirements for customs-related IT initiatives
Oversee duty mitigation and customs compliance, identifying opportunities for cost savings
Use metrics to identify gaps, drive closure, and socialize GT policies and procedures
Review and present plans and progress reports to senior/executive leaders and identify and resolve program problems
Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures; travel domestically and internationally as necessary
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Typically requires a university degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience in Global Trade or Customs Management OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Global Trade or Customs Management
Experience and expertise in U.S. Customs laws and regulations (CBP, EAR, ITAR, etc)
Prior experience leading a global trade compliance team
Prior experience leading cross-functional projects
Experience leading executive presentations (preferred)
Licensed Customs Broker (preferred)
Experience with US Tariffs and Free Trade Agreements (preferred)
Experience with EMEA and APAC regional and national customs regulations (preferred)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
