About the role
- Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans
- Responds to value stream inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction
- Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest
- Prepares purchase orders under general guidance
- Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable prices
- Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or missed/late deliveries
- Develops and maintains good vendor relationships
- Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost
- Performs delivery assurance responsibilities
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts
- Support project management activities
- Attend group meetings, teleconferences and/or training as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Administration, Technology or Engineering
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- U.S. citizenship is required (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements)
- The selected candidate must reside in Puerto Rico
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required
- Obtain ACE Associate certification
- Experience in MS Office suite or SAP (preferred)
