About the role
- Work with an integrated team of Collins engineers throughout the System life cycle to design, develop, verify, and deliver total systems solutions
- Contribute to high-level systems requirements and define avionics architectures
- Design and implement system requirements and create/update tests to verify the code implementation meets the requirements
- Review artifacts such as requirements, code, and tests produced by others and implement changes identified in peer reviews
- Participate in systems verification activities
- Be paired with a technical mentor (“copilot”) and work alongside software engineering team members on industry projects
- Full-time, Monday–Friday co-op session running January–August (including the Spring semester)
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position
- The company will not seek an export authorization for this role
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- Student is expected to take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with the co-op (January–August)
- Qualifications We Prefer: Python, Simulink, Cameo
