About the role
- Work with the Avionics Integrated Production Team in the Bellevue, IA facility supporting manufacturing testing.
- Work side by side with Manufacturing Electrical Engineers, production technicians/operators, and manufacturing support/engineering staff.
- Resolve test flow, product, and quality issues associated with manufacturing testing techniques.
- Analyze test failures for root causes and corrective actions, partnering with the onsite component evaluation lab.
- Assist in developing and preparing test and diagnostic programs to aid troubleshooting of test failures.
- Conduct studies pertaining to product and test systems issues and help implement corrective actions.
- Learn planning the sequence of operations for procedures, manufacturing documents, standard work, and product routings.
- Participate in longer-term projects to eliminate recurring issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Must be an Electrical Engineering student or pursuing a related engineering degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Able to work full-time Monday–Friday during the co-op session (January–August); students expected to take a semester off coursework to fully engage.
- Able to work onsite at Bellevue, IA production facility.
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required.
