About the role
- Lead Supplier interaction and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to manage a variety of procurements.
- Select qualified suppliers and seek alternate suppliers.
- Prepare, issue, evaluate, and manage Requests for Quotations/Proposals.
- Perform price and cost analyses and lead supplier negotiations of contractual terms.
- Prepare purchase orders (PO) and documentation in accordance with company directives.
- Post-award management of POs.
- Effective management, reporting and resolution of procurement metrics.
- Manage Suppliers to meet Program requirements with the desired quality and delivery.
- Issue and conflict resolution of medium/high complexity.
- Prepare and execute various types of agreements.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Experience in leading formal negotiations.
- Experience with supplier performance management.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
- Project planning and management skills (ex: MS Project, EVMS).
- Experience in working with procurements and major subcontracts.
- Experience with reading and understanding drawings, specifications and other engineering documents.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
- Experience with proposals from prospective suppliers and analyzing proposed factors.
