About the role

  • Draft, review, interpret, negotiate, and manage complex agreements to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements
  • Advise and represent the organization in moderate to complex contract negotiations and contract administration matters
  • Conduct front-end assessments of contractual and legal risk while negotiating and executing agreements in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and suppliers to support contract acquisition, execution, and fulfillment
  • Represent the organization with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and government agencies
  • Resolve business and technical issues by identifying risk, applying sound contractual judgment, and recommending effective solutions
  • Advise leadership on contractual rights and obligations and recommend strategies to mitigate program and business risk
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain contract-related data and documentation to support decision-making and compliance
  • Manage small projects or processes independently with minimal oversight
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives across contracting and procurement processes
  • Utilize supplier-specific templates, training materials, and standard work to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Track and log turnbacks to identify trends and support process optimization

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience negotiating contracts, including development and interpretation of terms and conditions
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government (USG) contracts
  • Experience within a supply chain, procurement, or subcontracting environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
