About the role

  • Perform Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) activities for the SOA CAAS program, including requirements/test procedure development, design updates, execution of test procedures, etc.
  • Support the completion of the Increment plan for the Platform Systems team during the Rotary Wing department-wide planning events
  • Navigate through the bids & pursuits, adhering to Collins Processes
  • Mentor younger engineers through Systems Engineering practices
  • Design system solutions, ensuring the integration of Collins Aerospace products into complex upgrade programs for the SOA CAAS program
  • ~10% travel as needed

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Associated documentation experience
  • Experience in Avionics systems (military or civil aircraft)
  • Collins Aerospace’s Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) experience preferred
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience preferred
  • Working knowledge / understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Communicate with a wide variety of technical and management personnel as well customers
