About the role

  • Lead execution of the DEFENSE and SONIC contracts within the Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) organization
  • Lead daily coordination and execution of the program working with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across development, procurement, and production
  • Responsible for financial, schedule, and technical performance of the program
  • Provide financial oversight for development and production teams and maintain EAC management
  • Coordinate suppliers and teammates for effective execution and supplier management
  • Multidisciplinary team leadership, strategy development, program reviews and program execution assessments through direct customer engagement
  • Prepare proposals, generate work authorizations (IOTs), statements of work (SOWs), and specifications
  • Align priorities, provide direction, actively manage risk mitigation, cost savings and schedule mitigation strategies
  • Serve as the day-to-day customer interface for detailed status and technical performance
  • Direct performance of engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, and administrative functions in execution of gate reviews and financial activities
  • Travel domestically as needed

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience as a Program Manager
  • Experience with testing and demonstration events on customer ranges and/or military equipment procurement/production
  • Experience with the Army or other DOD community
  • Experience managing programs while meeting financial, schedule and performance requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed
  • Must be able to work onsite in Tucson, AZ; Andover, MA; or McKinney, TX
  • Preferred: Master’s in Business Administration
  • Preferred: Program Management Level 3 Certification (or equivalent) or ability to achieve within 12 months
  • Preferred: Effective communication (technical writing, presentation preparation & delivery), organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: Effective team building and leadership skills
  • Preferred: Ability to monitor, interact and maintain execution synergy and focus for multiple diverse technical teams
  • Preferred: IMS and EVMS implementation and execution, to include meeting EAC requirements
  • Preferred: Experience with quick turn proposals as the proposal manager
  • Preferred: Strong financial management background to maintain effective EAC management
