About the role
- Support Advanced Sensor Programs (ASP) as onsite Centralized Field Engineering (CFE) Principal Specialist
- Provide long-term technical field support for complex electronic and electro-mechanical radar systems
- Participate in development, maintenance, and sustainment of the sensor system
- Conduct daily reviews with customers and provide onsite technical support and assistance
- Perform administrative tasks: planning, coordination, task monitoring, shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory management
- Collaborate with offsite engineering teams to troubleshoot and perform repairs
- Travel OCONUS: Two 75-day deployments per year and CONUS: Up to 40 days per year
- Communicate technical information effectively in written and verbal formats
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain Tier 5 (SCI) after start
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
- Experience in lieu of education option
- Experience in repair and maintenance of military electro-mechanical systems
- Experience in system integration, logistics processes, and logistics procedures
- Experience with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) (preferred)
- Experience with airborne radar systems (preferred)
- Proficiency in UNIX command navigation and interpreting maintenance-related results (preferred)
- Strong technical writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work outdoors in challenging environmental conditions
