About the role
- Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (V&V), formal testing, and software installation. Work with department systems engineering subject matter experts to solve critical technical problems with innovative solutions. Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer: Knowledge with any of these systems: Link 16 Tactical Data Link (J series messages), Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control Systems, or Shipboard Combat Systems such as Aegis and SSDS Mk II. Knowledge in software testing across multiple operating environments such as Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and Containers. Knowledge of software development in Java and C++ and scripting in Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, and Python. Experience as an intern or summer hire working for a DoD contractor. Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Understanding requirements development and experience using requirements management tools, such as DOORS. Understanding of designing system architectures and experience using architecture development tools, such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect or Rational Suite. Understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE).
